A Little Bit of Something of My 18 Years in Life

Assalamualaikum...

It has been more than 7 months since I last updated my blog. I can assure you guys out there that blogging wasn't really my passion but I do have some things that I wanna post here once i a while. Sometimes its a thing that I am unable to post in my Facebook wall or anywhere else...

Actually, what I really wanted to say here was, well, a typical problem faced by a majority of teenagers nowadays which a matter called LOVE (oh, shoot... now my post sounded like some girl who loves romance. HELL NO! that's not me!!). Well, yeah... as a normal 18 year old girl, I do want a little bit of drama and suspense in my life. I mean, who wouldn't want their life to be exciting once in a while? These drama that I was hoping for was absolutely typical. Handsome guy, love, an exotic place to see, get excellent marks, start off with a good work, an easy life and being rich. All these are the fundamentals of a perfect drama. But this is REALITY. I can't really hope for every single thing in a drama to be real in my life. At least no if I work hard for it. Life sounds harsh but what can I do?

Now, what I really wanted to say is I have a dilemma about guys and love-life. Its not that I'm in love with a guy. I don't plan to fall in love yet but I do have someone who likes me. This guy is not how I imagined my perfect guy would be (not that I have imagined one yet). He told me he likes me and it really bothers me. I'm not so into love yet and I have to focus with my studies. He never really talks to me after he confessed to me. I mean, not a face-to-face conversation. I didn't want to give him hope and I also didn't want to be harsh. Thus, I don't answer his texts and never looked at him in the eye. I mean, come on man~ gimme a break.... This is about the first guy I'm having a problem with...

The second guy is well, we mainly text each other occasionally. I thought we were just friends. At least that was what I wanted the relationship to be. I don't know if feels the same. He doesn't really say it but he jokes about wanting to marry me, wanting to date me and liking me. I don't respond, of course but I do feel uncomfortable...

So that's my bit of life. Who would've thought that things like this could happen it just less than 6 months??

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 3 Part 3

~Park Tae Rin~

I felt dumb when I covered what I really wanted to say to Sung Young. Actually, I didn’t forget what I wanted to say. I just hesitated to tell her. I wanted to share with her about what happened to me last night. I really wanted her to know about it because I can’t keep my mouth shut. I just wanted some opinions. Sung Young seemed to have believed my words. So much for opinions… Maybe I should ask someone else? Actually, last night’s incident was still playing on my head.

*Flashback*

I sank quietly at one corner after that boy suddenly went mad. My heart was beating fast. Fear crept down my spine. The humid air sent chills that made my body shiver wildly. How could I forget my own jacket and my phone? If I had not forgotten them, I would have been at home and watching the drama I just bought. This sucks..

I could feel my breath getting hotter by the minute. I could feel a warm sensation slowly burning under my skin. Have I just caught a fever? I tried to look calm but my shivering body was not helping at all. I wanted to get home faster and hide under my blanket. Sitting in the total darkness, I was wondering what the girls were doing. Have they realised that I was not home yet. Are they looking for me now? Will they come and rescue me? What if they didn’t notice my absence? What should I do? I’m really afraid. Someone, save me...

The cold air sent chills down my spine. I was shivering so hard that my teeth clattered vigorously. I couldn’t stop myself. What should I do? That was the only question playing at the back of my head. It has been a while since we, me and that guy with no manners, were stuck in the locked music room. By now, my skin was getting redder. Signs of fever were all over my face. I felt the uneasiness and everything was spinning followed by a splitting headache. I need to go to the clinic. Or see my private doctor. Arrgghh... I took in a deep breath and exhaled hard. Then I felt someone touched my forehead.

“Your head is burning hot. You have a fever...”

He sighed and he wrapped me in his coat. Then, I felt his shoulder brushed against mine as he took a seat beside me.

“Although you are the one who is at fault, I need to do something to keep your temperature down. At least until someone finds us.”

Suddenly, I heard his stomach growled. Silence ensued. I recalled the uneaten bread that I had during recess. I remembered that I did not have the appetite that time and planned to keep it for later. No wonder my heart felt weird when I decided to keep the bread. Maybe it had known that this will happen. Why did I not notice it? I took out the small bread which was in my pocket. How come I remembered to put this in my pocket but missed my phone? Am I some kind of an idiot? I spontaneously slapped my forehead with my free hand. The person beside me moved a bit. Maybe he was startled. I felt his weird gaze.

“Umm... do you want this bread? I heard your stomach growled,” I asked. I was trying to be nice as I held out half of the bread to him. I guess he was hungry since he took the bread without hesitating. He murmured the word ‘Thanks’ after he had a bite of the bread. I smiled although he couldn’t see me in the dark room. Maybe this guy is not that bad after all. He was thoughtful enough to wrap me in his coat. Not to mention that his coat smells nice. I mean, his coat doesn’t have the usual ‘men-sweat’ smell. His coat has that scent of a newly washed coat. He is most probably a perfectionist.

Time passed as we both sat at the same corner, waiting for someone who is nice enough to get us out of the dark room but no one came for our aid. After quite some time, I got tired of waiting and the half bread that I ate before was certainly not enough for me to get through the night. My eyes were getting tired of the darkness around me. I slowly closed my eyes and ended up sleeping. Covering half of my body with his coat, I fell asleep and ignored the shivering cold that surrounded me. All that I could think of was to rest my weak body. After that, everything was a blank until finally, I heard a faint sound of people talking outside the room and someone banging on the door to make it open.

“Yah, we found them!”

“Who?”

“Jaejoong-hyung and that friend of yours, umm... Tae something... Yah, look. Don’t they look very close in that position...”

“Huh! Don’t be ridiculous, Changmin! Tae Rin!”

I felt Asuka (I recognised her voice) grabbed me.

“Uh! Tae Rin, you have a fever! Changmin, what are you doing in this critical situation? We’d better get Tae Rin to the clinic”

Someone sneezed and from the sound of it, it was a guy who sneezed. I had no strength left to open my eyes.

“Jaejoong hyung, are you okay?”

“Great, they are both sick... I’m going to call Ri Yeon hyung. You call the others, Changmin.”

*End of Flashback*

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 3 Part 2

~Kim Sung Young~

I was feeling a bit shy when I saw the boys that helped us the night before coming to the café. Asuka seemed very comfortable as she talked to them. They looked like normal associates talking among each other. She could mix with anyone, that Asuka. Sometimes I envy her. The meeting ended with a mug of hot chocolate for each of us. The boys said that they’ll surely come on that day, politely. I was eying Yunho closely. He had this habit of smiling cutely when he was being polite. I kept on blushing alone for a few times and luckily no one noticed it. I can feel my heart beating faster every time I blushed.

The three of us, (me, Asuka and Ri Yeon) were back on the road. We planned to walk all the way to our house. Ri Yeon looked weird. She had been kicking random stuffs on the pavement as she walked. It seemed like she was deep in her own thoughts. I gave Asuka a small push and made a slight movement with my head to make Asuka look at Ri Yeon.

“What’s wrong with her?” I whispered carefully. Asuka made a shrug and gave me her ‘I-don’t-know-too’ look.

“Ne, hyung! What’s with the face?” Asuka finally said. Sometimes I think that Asuka has problems with respecting other people’s privacy. Maybe she has to be reminded that there are times when it is best to keep your mouth to yourself. People might think that you are such an annoying person.

“What face?” Ri Yeon answered.

“That!” Asuka answered as she poked Ri Yeon with her finger. Ri Yeon leaped when Asuka poked her. I laughed at Ri Yeon’s sudden reaction.

“Okay! Okay! Stop now, ASUKA!!” Ri Yeon pleaded.

“Not until you tell me why!”

“*laughing hard* What ‘why’? *continues to laugh*”

“The face ‘why’!”

Alright, Ri Yeon was laughing so hard that I think Asuka was going overboard with her ‘interrogation’. Maybe it was the time for me to stop her. Ri Yeon was already turning red due to laughing too much.

“Okay, Asuka. You can stop now…”

Asuka stopped poking Ri Yeon. By that time, the three of us were standing at the small bridge in a park not far from the café. That was my favourite place. It has a stunning outlook. Even during winter, that is when all the snow settled down on the ground and covered the whole place like a white carpet. But that was not the scenery that I saw there on that day.

Asuka and Ri Yeon was being childish again. Asuka was trying to make Ri Yeon spill what she was thinking but Ri Yeon kept on denying it. Asuka’s effort finally found success. I saw Ri Yeon hesitating.

“You’re hesitating!” Asuka said with a grin.

“No… okay… I was hesitating. But now I’m not!”

“So what? Spill it!”

“Okay, I just didn’t like Junsu that much,” she confessed.

“Why?” I interrupted, “I mean, Junsu doesn’t look that bad.”

“Come to think of it, hyung, Junsu was also that boy who caught you at the cafeteria, right? He was also the one that Changmin and I left behind, right?” Asuka started. Things suddenly became interesting. I always liked these kind of things. It’s like a scene in a drama. Ri Yeon nodded slowly.

“Really!?” I squeaked. Asuka’s grin spread wider.

“What happened?” I asked with such excitement and that was how I knew what that happened. Asuka also told us what that had happened to her when she left Ri Yeon and Junsu because of Changmin. Eventually, Asuka did throw Changmin to the floor because she thought that Changmin was being suspicious. That explains the part where Ri Yeon said that Junsu and she heard Changmin’s yell. Nothing interesting happened to Asuka and Changmin. That night was just the start of their friendship. That was it. The thing that happened to Asuka was the total opposite thing that happened to Ri Yeon. After hearing the whole story, I started to understand a small part of what Ri Yeon felt.

“I think that is fate!” Asuka teased.

“Well I think that is just plain bad luck!” Ri Yeon countered.

“Okay… let’s see what will happen AFTER this…” Asuka said as she walked away, leaving us to catch up with her. Asuka was holding her phone in her hand. There was someone who was trying to contact her. I could see the phone’s screen but I didn’t kbow whose name was on the calling screen. It was written in Japanese. Asuka picked it up.

“Kazuma!” I heard her said. Who’s Kazuma? Her boyfriend?

Asuka was on the phone all the way back. She looked really happy talking to him. I did not understand what they were talking about and so did Ri Yeon. We both did not learn Japanese. There was never a situation that came up that needed us to speak in Japanese. Asuka was already fluent in Korean language when we first met her. Her reaction was really excited when talking to the Japanese boy. It seemed that this Kazuma guy is someone to her. The most possible answer is that he is her boyfriend. But she doesn’t look like she is in love. She spoke to him like an acquaintance. If he is not her boyfriend, then who is this Kazuma?

Asuka went straight into her room when we got home and she was still on the phone. I wanted to eavesdrop on her but it was useless. The reasons,

1. She is having a conversation in Japanese

2. She HATES people who eavesdrops

3. I would be even more curious

4. I might get caught

And that is BAD!

So, I decided to do my usual routine every day that is to bathe, change into house clothes and yes, chat with a certain someone in the chatroom.

So, I turned on my laptop and entered the site we used to chat.

SAPHIRE : Hey! Are you there?

M.Y. : Yup… wassup?

SAPHIRE : Just wondering…

M.Y. : Wondering about what?

SAPHIRE : Well…

M.Y. :What?

SAPHIRE :Still remember that I said I wanted to invite ‘him’ to my party this weekend? I did it…

M.Y. : That’s great! I’m also asked to a party this weekend…

WHAT? I wanted M.Y. to come to my party! I seriously thought that it was the perfect time to meet ‘him’. Now what?...

SAPHIRE : Oh… that’s nice…

M.Y. : It’s great right…

This guy had no idea…

SAPHIRE : Yup, it is… Well… I guess I should rummage to fine a decent

dress to wear, right? I mean… I wanna look my best… So, I’ll talk to you later…

M.Y. : uhh… okay… I’ll talk to you later then…

So, with that I left my laptop and started looking into my wardrobe to find anything striking to wear at the party. I was kind of angry though. That person didn’t stop me at all. He just let me go. Just then, Tae Rin entered my room.

“Yah, Sung Young-ah… AHH?!”

From her voice, I could tell that she was surprised. I emerged from the back of my wardrobe door and saw her look. She was really surprised. Her hand was on her head.

“Yes?” I asked. She looked at the mess in my room with a half opened mouth.

“Sung Young, what are you doing?” She asked with a worried look.

“Looking for a good dress for my birthday party,” I answered and got back into the wardrobe to look. Tae Rin followed me in.

“Do you realise that your room is in a complete mess?”

“Let it be… I’ll do something about it after I find a good dress. So, why were you looking for me? ”

There was a sudden silence. I was waiting for Tae Rin to answer my question but she didn’t utter a single word. I was beginning to feel impatient and turned around to look at her face.

“Yah, what is it?”

“Sung Young ah… I forgot what I wanted to say…” was what Tae Rin answered. Then we both fell into a short silence before we both laughed. We were laughing at Tae Rin’s forgetfulness.

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 3 Part 1

~Han Ri Yeon~

Seung Mi wasn’t feeling better. She sprained her ankle last night and was given permission by the doctor to stay at home for the day. Tae Rin, on the other hand had caught a fever after being in the cold music room for more than four hours, I think. So, she too had to stay at home. They were both still in bed that morning as the leftover triplets, me, Sung Young and Asuka, prepared for school. I was not really happy though. I was really unhappy. I heard Sung Young suggested the girls to invite the boys who helped find Tae Rin last night to come to the party we held for Sung Young’s birthday and Asuka’s stay in Korea. It’s not that I didn’t want them to come but I just didn’t feel like I want one of them to come.

The teacher had important business which interrupted the class and had to leave the class for a while to settle it. I was staring blankly at the blackboard at the time when Asuka suddenly tapped my left shoulder. I was bored and had nothing to do while ignoring those stupid ‘fan boys’ who thinks that I liked them to like me. I looked up at Asuka as she gave me a small smile indicating that she wants me to hear what they were talking about. Since I was bored to death, and the other two was absent, I decided to hear them out.

“Tell her, Sung Young,” Asuka said as she nudged Sung Young. Asuka was laughing. I had no idea why. Sung Young shook her head.

“Stop being so innocent, Sung Young. Alright, I’ll tell her. You know what, Ri Yeon? Sung Young suggested on asking the boys to come to the party this weekend.”

“Isn’t everyone in this school invited?” I asked frankly.

“They are, but… let’s invite them personally. The others were told by some announcement but we didn’t tell them to come face to face,” Sung Young explained.

“You mean like asking them to come personally. Like seeing them face to face? Now?” I asked, bewildered at the decision.

“Of course, not now! Those fans of yours and all of us *Asuka rolled her eyes as she mentioned the fans part* will surely be suspicious… I don’t wanna see what’s going to happen if we confront the boys now…” Asuka responded almost immediately. I managed to ask about Tae Rin and Seung Mi’s reaction towards the plan but Sung Young had confirmed that they too had agreed. Although I didn’t like it, I had to see eye to eye. We should thank them for helping us finding Tae Rin.

“How should we tell them?” I asked out of curiosity.

“Leave that to me,” Asuka said as she grinned. The next thing I know was that after class I had been dragged to a nearby café, a chocolate café, without knowing why I was dragged there. Asuka took a seat at a table for seven, near a window.

“Let me guess. You told them to come here?” I asked.

“You can say that… or you could say I write it on a piece of paper and told them to come here…” Asuka answered with a grin. Sung Young was being quiet again. I don’t know what reason she became quiet like that is.

“Ne! Are you going to stand there or are you going to sit down?”

I took a seat beside Sung Young and looked through the menu. A few minutes later, the boys showed up. It’s about time they showed up. They took their seats in front of us and waited for us to say something. The situation was surely awkward. I could sense the tense feeling around us during our silence period.

“Umm… actually, we wanted to tell you something,” Asuka started. She was brave enough to talk. She gave Sung Young a small push as a sign to say it now. I saw Sung Young hesitated. She was feeling the awkwardness and was having difficulties to talk.

“Actually, we wanted to personally invite you all to a party this weekend. It’s my birthday party and a party to welcome Asuka’s stay in Korea,” she said finally.

I stayed quietly and tried to look like I was not really thinking and looked around. Then, my eyes caught one of the boy’s eyes. The one that had caught me out of reflex a day before (incident in Chapter 1). I quickly rolled my eyes away. Asuka started to get comfortable with them. I knew it because she is the type of person who could talk a lot when she’s comfortable. Even the boys were getting along fine with her. Sung Young was still struggling to stay in the same zone as Asuka and the boys. I was the only one sitting around, doing nothing.

“Hey, why is it just you four? Where’s the other one?” I heard Asuka asked.

“Oh, you noticed? Jaejoong didn’t come today because he had caught a flu,” the one called Yoochun answered.

“Jaejoong… wasn’t he was the one who was trapped with my friend yesterday?” Asuka proceeded. The boys made a surprised face.

“You really have a great memory!”

“Iie, nani mo…”

“Pardon?”

“Oh, did I just say something in Japanese? Sorry… It’s nothing big…”

That was some of the conversation ‘we’ had. Well, actually Asuka did all the talking since I kept myself quiet and Sung Young being shy all of the sudden. The boys didn’t seem to notice. During all the talk, the flashback of the situation last night played back in front of my eyes.

*Flashback*

“Ri Yeon hyung, where should we start searching?” Asuka asked. Her hands were holding my left arm tightly. Since she asked, I wondered for a while. Where should we start? Where would Tae Rin have gone to? The two boys, Changmin and *sigh* Junsu was walking way ahead of us. The hallway was really dark. I guess that was the reason Asuka held on to my arm. Maybe she was afraid. But she is not the type that is easily scared, at least not in front of me.

“Why don’t you ask them?” I answered as I pointed at the two boys in front of them.

“Hey, you two boys!” Asuka called out. I was half kidding when I told her to ask the boys but she took it seriously and called them for real. I felt half better when she called them. I was also freaking out in the darkness. The boys turned around as soon as they heard her calling out to them.

“What?”

“Where are you guys heading to? I mean, where should we start looking first?”

I swore I saw the tall guy (just call him by his name!)(okay!), Changmin smirked. Before he said,

“Let’s split up, into pairs.”

He left Junsu behind and grabbed Asuka’s hand before leaving me and Junsu gaping together.

“We’re going to look for them at the second floor! You guys look for them here!” he shouted at us before Asuka and him vanished. I was amused that Asuka didn’t struggle to get off Changmin’s grip. To my bewilderment, I was left in an awkward situation. At least that was what I think the situation felt like. A moment of silence ensued.

“Aigoo, that Changmin! Someday I will get him for this!”

I heard Junsu’s complaint. He was seriously pissed with that Changmin. In the awkwardness of the situation, I bravely mustered my courage and approached Junsu.

“Shouldn’t we start looking for them now?” I asked, masking my uneasiness.

*Bang!*

“OUCHH!!”

Junsu and I exchanged looks and Junsu smirked.

“That sounded like Changmin. He must have fallen somewhere,” Junsu said with a small laugh. I raised one eyebrow. What is wrong with his head? His friend is in pain and he’s happy to know about it. My hand suddenly raised and knocked him hard on his arm.

“OUCH!! What the…”

“Yah! He’s in pain, for goodness sake! Do you have to laugh and ignore him? Who is he? A toy?”

I was suddenly angry for no reason. I don’t usually get angry but his attitude was just getting on my nerves. Sighing, I turned around and started walking in the darkness without knowing where to go to. After a few steps (it was a lot of steps, actually), I still didn’t realise that I was going somewhere and Junsu wasn’t behind me. At least that was what I first thought when I finally realised that I was in the middle of the darkness without knowing where exactly I was. Seriously, I was really scared that my hair was standing at its ends. I wanted to scream for help but my voice didn’t come out. I sank onto the cold floor, feeling helpless. The time passed and I was feeling even more helpless. Just when I was sinking deeper into all the helpless thoughts, a warm hand took me and pulled me up.

“You’ve caused me trouble, you know that? We were supposed to search for Jaejoong Hyung and that friend of yours but you wondered off alone. Then I had to search for you,” Junsu complained the minute that I got up to my feet.

*End of flashback*

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 2 Part 5

~Park Yoochun~

And so my plan worked. We all made our move. They all played along, even Changmin. We decide to go in a group of four. I noticed two of the girls were the same ones that I dared Jaejoong to call out to this morning. It seems like they didn’t recognise us since they looked like they were really worried. Or, they didn’t notice us when Jaejoong called them. What a bummer. They didn’t even notice a pretty face like me and and only saw Jaejoong. That’s not fair!

I saw Junsu made a face when he was grouped with one of the girls who looked like a tomboy, Ri Yeon (if I was not mistaken). I wonder if he was still thinking about tomboy girls are not his type. Hoho! That is something. Yunho decided to go with me and two girls called Seung Mi and Sung Young. Changmin and Junsu grouped with the transfer student from Japan, Asuka and the tomboy, Ri yeon. Yunho decided to look for the two missing people at the place where Jaejoong always hang out. Junsu was supposed to look for them at the gym hall and we parted ways.

“Let’s start with our class,” Yunho suggested. The two girls just nodded. Yunho and I took the lead. The two girls walked behind us. They were quiet. I don’t know what to say to start a conversation with them. Nothing came to mind. They were being really quiet. Even Yunho was being quiet. I sighed. He’s hopeless when it comes to girls. He just can’t communicate with them. He can’t flirt with them, he’s too nice. Aigoo…

“Who is this Tae Rin that you girls are searching for?” I tried talking with one of the girls. The one called Seung Mi. She looked up at me and answered,

“Tae Rin? She’s… umm… our best friend since childhood…”

“How do you know that she’s missing? Shouldn’t her parents know that first and asked for help?”

“Umm… well we lived together. Our parents are living elsewhere.”

I nodded. The conversation was plain. I guess they are just not my type. Oh, well… I’ll just forget the idea of adding another girl in my list. They were cute but I don’t think I’d like girls who are timid like them. I kept on asking questions so that I won’t go crazy due to the quietness. Yunho won’t talk. He only laughed a bit when I made a few jokes. He laughed nervously with the other girl, Sung Young. At least be a bit lively. I’ll get bored to death if no one is thinking that the situation seriously needed a few things to lighten up. I was seriously bored but I still thought of ways to make the situation less tense. We were very near to our class. It was just around the corner. When we finally reached there, Sung Young and Seung Mi rushed inside. It was dark inside. With the help of dim light from outside, Seung Mi made her way towards one of the tables in the class.

“Tae Rin’s coat and phone is still here,” she said in a low voice. She quickly turned to run somewhere, I think but stumbled on something. She fell on the floor. I quickly reached for the light’s switch. Sung Young and Yunho dashed to her aid. I saw tears in Seung Mi’s eyes. She tried not to cry as she swallowed the pain.

“I think… I just sprained my ankle,” Seung Mi said shakily. Suddenly, Yunho took her in his arms and lifted her to put her on one of the nearest chair. I saw Sung Young gasped and Seung Mi’s confused face. Yunho, on the other hand, didn’t notice this. Am I just watching? I was like a ghost. My presence was totally ignored. I wouldn’t mind if they had forgotten about me because Seung Mi had fallen. I was just not happy at the fact that they forgotten about me because of Yunho’s sudden reaction to carry her in his arm just to place her on one of the chairs.

“Seung Mi, is the pain still there? Do you think that you can still walk? Can you even move?” Sung Young questioned after she snapped out of her short pause. She even tried to look at Seung Mi’s ankle. It was turning blue but Seung Mi kept on saying that she could walk and tried to prove it but failed to move even one step before she fell again. The only difference this time was that Yunho swiftly caught her before she actually fell again. That was a relief but I can tell that Seung Mi was feeling even more awkward with Yunho. I decided to watch the little drama and not to get involved in it. It was pretty entertaining.

“If you still can’t walk, let me just carry you on my back,” Yunho offered. Sung Young gasped again, but really quietly. By this time, I thought that Seung Mi’s face should have turned red. I was quite surprised with his abrupt decision.

“It’s okay… Sung Young can help me walk,” she refused, “Right, Sung Young?”

“Ahh… umm… uhuh…”

“She won’t be able to withstand you holding on to her for a long time. Let me help you,” Yunho insisted. Yunho… you’re too kind-hearted. I can’t believe I could see Yunho helping a girl. He barely talks to one. Carrying one would surprise just about anyone who knew him. I thought that I should ‘help’ him to ‘persuade’ her.

“I really think that Yunho’s idea was a good one. I mean, he’s got a point. Surely Sung Young couldn’t stand for a long time with you holding on to her. Why don’t you just go along with Yunho’s offer?” I backed him up. Seung Mi was speechless and finally agreed to let Yunho carry her on his back. Sung Young took their friend’s coat and phone, we were off to look for our missing friends.

Yunho said that Jaejoong used to go to one of the music room to play a piano and relax there. We decided to search for him at the music room but the problem was that the school had three music rooms. All of the music room was at different blocks and all of the music room had a piano. It was funny that Yunho couldn’t remember which one. That means that we had to check out all of them.

I heard the sound of a phone ringing. I turned to look at Yunho because I recognised the ring tone of his phone. He quickly picked up his phone as he desperately tried to balance Seung Mi behind him.

“Hello?”

“Ah! Hyung! We’ve found Jaejoong huyng… and the girl’s friend!”

“Really? Good!”

“They’re both in the same room.”

“Where are you now?”

“In the music room, on the first block.”

“Wait there. We’ll come to you now.”

“Okay.”

He snapped his phone shut and slipped it into his pocket again. He was beaming.

“They found him?” I guessed.

“Yes,” he answered.

“We gotta go to them?”

“Yes, at the first block.”

“Can’t we just see them at the school’s main entrance?” Sung Young interfered. She was quite all along but suddenly she spoke. She thought that we should just wait for the others there since the main entrance was not that far. Furthermore, Yunho didn’t have to carry the red-faced Seung Mi (She didn’t refer to Seung Mi that way… I just add it there. Sounds more logic right?) all the way to the other music room. There was a long pause again when Sung Young mentioned about Yunho and Seung Mi. I was getting a little awkward with the situation myself.

“Uhh… err… okay… I’ll tell the others. Right, Yunho?” I answered (finally). Yunho just nodded and I took out my phone to call Junsu. They all waited silently as I told the other group to meet up at the entrance.

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 2 Part 4

~Shim Changmin~

I was sitting at the window pane at the living room, reading a manga. Today was no different than the other, except for the incident where Jaejoong called a girl. Now that was something different. Jaejoong was not the type to call out to some girl out of fun. Today was a special case though. Yoochun made him, more like dared him to do so. I grinned when I thought of the girl’s face. She was pretty furious, I can tell. It was stupid for hyung to do what Yoochun dared him to. It was a fact. We all knew that. Yet, he still did it. I wonder why?

“Changmin, what time is it?” Yunho suddenly asked.

He sat at the living room sofa. I was busy reading and remembering the details why that incident happened and did not notice him sitting there. Junsu had also finished his little routine of football practice and he was also inside to watch the television.

“Ahh… hyung…”

“It’s already 9.30,” Yoochun answered for me. He came into the living room with a snack in his hand and joined Junsu.

“We should replace the battery of that clock in this living room.”

“Hmm…”

“What’s wrong, Changmin? Got something at your tounge?” Junsu teased me.

“I was just… nothing,” I tried to counter attack him but thought better not to do so.

“Is Jaejoong hyung back yet?”

Everyone looked up at me after I asked the question. Their faces clearly showed that they had no idea whether he’s home or not. Not even the slightest idea.

“… You were here all the time, haven’t you seen him come home?” Yoochun asked after our long pause. I shook my head lightly. No wonder dinner was not ready yet… Yunho stood up suddenly and said,

“Let’s look for him!”

Everyone else stood up after him and agreed to look for Jaejoong. Junsu suggested that we start looking at his bedroom, just in case he got home and we all hadn’t realised it. We split up and started searching. I was with Junsu while Yoochun was with Yunho. Yunho asked us to look for Jaejoong at the place where he used to take to go to school. We did asked a lot people, randomly, if they had seen Jaejoong nearby. They all shook their heads with puzzled faces. Junsu described Jaejoong as the ‘tall guy with a girl’s face’. Most of the ahjumma’s faces were weirdly in a happy mood when we asked them. I kept my tounge to myself and let Junsu do all the talking. He seemed okay with the asking job. Maybe he didn’t notice.

We still didn’t have a clue where Jaejoong was and decided to call Yunho. He and Yoochun took the other road. Yunho said that they too didn’t get any clues.

“Let’s go to school. Maybe he’s there.”

“Right now? Are you crazy?!”

“Maybe he’s trapped… Or wanted to search for something?”

“Let’s just try looking for him there,” Yunho ended the conversation. No one tried to deny his decision. To be honest, I too thought that he might be at school now. The reason, I don’t know myself. It was just a hunch, just a feeling I had. We all made our way back to school. I never went back to school at night. It feels weird. We took Yoochun’s car. When we were finally at the school gate, it was already 10.30 pm. We intended to go separate ways but in pairs like when we looked for him on the streets. I still got stuck with Junsu. I may as well tease him as we searched for Jaejoong hyung. Just before we parted, we heard voices of girls whispering.

“Do ghosts exist?” Yoochun whispered to Yunho.

“No, why?”

“I heard some girls talking, whispering actually. Don’t you hear it too, Changmin?”

I was standing right beside Yoochun and he caught me by surprise when he suddenly asked me the question. I was busy trying to figure out if the voices were REAL or not. Since Yoochun heard it, it was probably true.

“Huh?? Ahh… yes…” I answered in a low voice.

“I think I heard it too,” Junsu admitted. I took a step forward towards where the voices came from. Yunho followed close behind me. Yoochun and Junsu stayed behind, watching as we made each steps. The voices were getting clearer and clearer with each step. I could understand what the ‘ghosts’ were talking about. I hid behind a wall, where I could hear them. They’re just some girls.

“You really think that this is a good idea? Searching for her here?”

“Aigoo! She didn’t come back since she returned here to get her phone. I’m really worried!”

“It’s your fault! You wanted to get home early and suggested that we should return first. Look what happened!”

They sounded like they were going to have a fight when,

“Aishh…! Be quiet and stop the racket! We’re here to search for Tae Rin-hyung! The faster we find her, the faster we can get out of this spooky school. This place give me the creeps…”

“Yeah, we should search for her now. C’mon girls!”

I heard some footsteps. They were probably going to search for this ‘Tae Rin’ girl. I was about to have a peep from behind the wall when I was pushed from behind by one of the guys.

“Ahh!!”

I fell on the floor with a loud thud, followed by Yunho on top of me before he turned and fell flat on his back. I fell on my arm and now it went numb. I turned to see who pushed us and saw Junsu and Yoochun’s guilty faces.

“Yah! That hurts!”

I totally forgot about the girls. I even forgot about Jaejoong. Yunho sat up as he rubbed his back. Junsu approached me and tried to apologize. Yoochun was apologising with a grin on his face. He thinks that our fall was funny. They both helped me and Yunho back to our feet. Junsu looked like he was about to say something but then he made a face when he saw something behind me.

“Yah, look…”

“What?”

I turned to see what it was and saw a few girls hiding behind a big object that I don’t even know what. It was too dark to really know what it was. They were hiding but they were not making a good job of it. We could still see them even without a torch. One of the girls stepped out of her hiding place. Maybe she knew that we could see her and her friends.

“Ahh… excuse me?” she said in an almost loud voice. Actually, I could barely hear her. She was lucky the whole place was quiet. If there were a crowd here, her voice would have been inaudible.

“What are you guys doing here?” she asked. That was supposed to be my line! Girls don’t sneak into the school compound at this time of the night. Although I already knew the reason they were here, I was a little surprised with her courage, asking guys’ questions at a dark place when she doesn’t even knew who they were.

“We’re just here to look for our friend, he’s been missing,” Junsu answered boldly. He was being really honest. Yunho joined him and said,

“I know you’re searching for someone too, aren’t you?”

She hesitated to answer. Maybe she’s feeling a slight fear. But she answered, “Yeah.”

“Why don’t you join us? We could help you to search for your friend as we search for our friend,” Yoochun suddenly said. That was the typical him. He’s in his playboy mode. My guess, he wants to get another girlfriend to play around with. Suddenly everyone was being nice to the girls. I should just play along with them. We saw the girl turned around to discuss. A few minutes later, she turned around and agreed.

Right now, I'm feeling really down. These are probably the reasons:

My Looks

Most people will probably say I'm being ridiculous but the truth is you guys don't even know that I'm really disturbed when it comes to my looks. People saying that I look really pretty, I would deny them secretly. I just stayed quiet in front of them but I'm really depressed inside. I don't even know if people were complementing me because they really think that I look pretty or they were having the pleasure of teasing me or just plain words of comfort. When I was a kid, almost everyone said I didn't look like my parents at all. I had these features of a flat nose, small eyes and really curly hair which caused other kids at my kindergarten to call me "Mi Maggie". My other siblings (at that time, there was only my older sister and my older brother) was good looking. My older brother looked like an Arabic boy. He was really cute. With his brownish red hair, really brown eyes, sharp features, completely white skin. He was too cute. My sister was really cute too. She had short wavy hair with bangs, dark brown eyes, sharp features and cute face. A really lovable look. I on the other hand, had those not so nice to look at features. As I grew up, people started saying that I look a lot like my sister but this wasn't the end to my not so good looks. People still compared us, our looks. My sister has the looks of a beautiful Pakistan girl, that was what people say. Me, not that sharp features but a little, only a little, I looked like an Arabic girl just not that sharp. My brother? He is still handsome just that he has black hair, and darker skin. Then, my younger sister and younger brother were born. They both grew up to be cute little kids. My younger sister has a really warm smile and a cute face (she has really big cute eyes!) while my younger brother has a normal Malay face but still he is cute. Seeing my siblings, compared to me they are really good looking people. I am jealous of them right now that I feel like my heart is going to burst.I am always second best in this area compared to them.

My Academic Life

As for academic, I feel like crying all the time. My older brother had always obtained straight A's until SPM came. He got 8A's only. To others, they would say that it's a waste because my brother is a very bright student. But to me, him getting 8A is just a really good thing. It was not bad. He struggled at the last minute, that's what he got in the end. My older sister, well she didn't have a good start. She got a B for her english when she took her UPSR. Starting from that result, she became really good at her studies and she worked hard to get all straight A. She managed to get straight a for PMR but got one B for her SPM. At least that was much more than me. Of course I cried with her when I heard that she got a B for one of her subjects that she took. at that time, I felt really sorry for her because I know how hard she worked of straight a's. Maybe there is a reason she didn't get her wish but I was sad to see her. Anyhow, her results were much better than mine. I started at the same level as my sister. I had a B for my UPSR too but that didn't affect me as much as my sister's result affected her. Thus, I continued playing until I had to take my PMR exam. That was when I started to pay more attention to my studies. I got my straight A's at that time. As I remembered it, I changed a lot when I turned 16 years old. I took my studies seriously and always payed attention to my grades. Of course, I was not that hardworking but something in me changed. I struggled for my SPM (according to my older sister, I struggled of only one year) and got 8a's. I am depressed, but what can I do. My IQ is a lot less compared to my elder siblings. I wanted to cry out loud when I received my results but would that change anything? I'm still the old lazy person. As for my younger siblings, my sister is currently considered as the one with the best academic results in my family. My brother, well, he is really LAZY but bright. So, again, I am also not the best in academics compared to my siblings. I am still not the best.

My Attitude

When I was a kid, I am probably a little beast. I was really naughty with tricks up my sleeve. At that time, I was the mastermind of bad plans. I thought my older siblings how to open our money-box. I was the one who swing on tree branches, sitting upside down in a dress, cutting the edge of my clothes with a pair of scissors. Yes, I was a little beast. Somehow, I got along really well with other people. But that was not I wished for. As I grew up, I was no more a beast but a girl. I changed myself. Although I was no longer a beast, I still have my mouth. The words that came out of my mouth was sharp as a sword, stabbing others. I didn't realize this but I always make others angry or cry after I said something. I didn't realize that my words are that sharp. I never thought that my words were that bad. I just thought that I am normal. It turns out that I was being mean to everyone. I am a mean person, a terrible person. What can I do? I'm just not the one who thinks twice before saying that. I feel really sorry to my friends and family. They always have to hear ugly things from me, from my mouth.

Well, these are probably the reasons that I ended up with a depressed feeling in me. I guess this is okay, complaining like this. I may seem like a person who liked to compare herself with others but I can't help. I am human. Sometimes I feel under the weather too. I can't control it. After feeling so depressed, I can just look forward and trust that God knows my feelings. Only then I can continue living. Now, I really want to forget this depression and move on but it's not wrong to cry for a while and then move on, right?

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 2 Part 3

KRINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

The bell rang for the last time, at least for that day. This day is a very frustrating day was a phrase that kept on repeating in my head for that whole day. The reason was simple. Firstly, I followed Yoochun’s stupid dare to call two girls who were the last one to stand inside the gym that morning. That started the whole frustrated day. Maybe I had other problems that day but since I knew that the two girls were in my class, I frequently noticed that one of the girls I called and her friend were constantly pointing at me. It’s not that I’m not used to people (commonly girls) pointing at me but the two girls made an expression that I had never seen before on the faces of girls who were pointing at me. Plus, I don’t like being the centre of attention. I regretted following Yoochun’s dare. But it wasn’t Yoochun’s fault, so I can’t blame him for what happened to me that day.

Right after the bell rang, the teacher walked out of the class, the usual thing you see in (probably) most classes in the whole world, was that the class suddenly became very lively with the students who wanted to rush home, those who were talking and those who were busy studying or wanted to go see the teacher or doing anything they desire.

“Jaejong,” Yunho asked as he placed his right hand on my left shoulder. I was surprised because I had not realised that it was time to go home.

“Where do you want to go today, I mean, before going home?”

I thought for a while.

“I guess I’ll be here for a while longer...” was what I answered. Yunho knew what I mean and nodded his head.

“You always stayed back for a long time after school. C’mon! We’re gonna go to that new restaurant that we saw the other day!” Junsu complained.

“I’ll pass...”

“But...”

“He doesn’t want to go. Plus, I’ll bring some of the food back for him. Now, let’s just leave him alone.”

Yunho always understands what I wanted. But there were actually two reasons why I didn’t want to tag along with them; the first one was that I wanted to go somewhere alone, where no one will annoy me. The place where I can find peace, ease my mind and flex my body (a bit; mostly fingers. Not the whole body). The second reason; I would have to pay for the food since I am the oldest.

I saw Changmin gave me a small smile, a meaningful one. He probably knows why I stayed a while longer. I didn’t return his smile. Yoochun gave me a gentle pat on my back as Yunho ushered them all away. When he was standing at the door, Yunho gave me a last look that usually meant ‘make-sure-you’ll-be-ok-when-you-come-back’ and followed the rest out of the class.

I stretched my body muscles. My body muscles were clearly tired after that long class period, especially my neck muscles. I hadn’t been paying attention in class and had been looking out of the window (most of the time) which made the muscles of my neck ache. I looked around the class to see if anyone was there. No one was around. Good, then I can go there...

I flexed my body a bit more and stood up. Moving away from my table, I headed towards one of the hallway in the school. The walls at that part of the school were made out of glass with iron to support the glass. I stopped for a while to look out of the glass. The scenery I was looking at was a special garden in the middle of the school. I saw a tall tree with little leaves (it was almost spring, probably the week after), green grasses growing but only a little. I felt a small relief after looking at the vista outside because I knew that spring is just around the corner. When spring comes, that special garden will be filled with greenery. That scenery was what I was looking forward to see. It soothes my mind and gave peace to my soul. I made my way towards the door located at the end of the hall and opened it as soon as I reached there.

The door was a door to the music room. That music room is free for me to use after school. The actual reason why I went there was to play the piano. Inside the music room, at one corner of the room, was a grand piano. That piano calmed me whenever I felt that something was not right at all, something that bothers me to think about. I slowly sat on the stool in front of the piano. As I opened that piano’s cover, I noticed that the bars were all dusty. Probably no one has used it for a period of time. I brushed all the dust off the bars with a small paper I found lying on the ground and stuck it into my pocket to throw away afterwards.

I flexed my fingers (a habit of mine before playing a piano). Once I pressed a key, I felt a sensation bloomed inside my body, and started to play a song. Each and every key I pressed affected me and made me forget the whole world in a matter of seconds. I felt like all my burden has been lifted off my shoulders and I can feel my whole body moved with the song I played. The song I played at first was just a warming up. The real piano playing starts after that. I recalled the notes I wrote on a piece of paper. The song I wrote myself. My fingers moved swiftly as my mind remembered all the notes and keys to press.

When I finished playing the song, I felt something, or someone, is watching. I can feel a pair of eyes looking at me from my back. I slowly turned around to face the door, to see that something or someone.

"Yah! Is anyone there? I know you're here!" I called out. A girl stepped inside from the outside of the room. I looked at her face closely. She was looking at her feet so it was hard to tell who she was. I think she was embarrassed. Probably, just probably.

"Can't you sit straight? I can't see your face clearly! Yah! Look up, look at me!" I called out again. I saw her hesitating and finally when she was about to look up, a sudden gush of the wind passed and closed the only door out of the room behind her.

"Aaahhhh!!" she cried. I looked at her seriously.

"It was just the wind..." I said calmly. I was almost teasing her but in the I-don't-care way. I still didn't get the chance to see her face yet but I forgot all about her and was on my way to open the door. My intention was to get out of that music room as soon as possible. Just when I turned the knob, I noticed that the door was locked. I tried to turn the knob to the left and right but it wouldn’t budge. I suddenly got so angry that I tried with all my force to open the door. I even kicked it. When I was sure that I couldn’t force the door to open, I turned to say something at the girl. That was when I saw her face.

"You!" I exclaimed. She made a face but answered.

"What?!"

"I know you... You have been pointing at me in class with that friend of yours."

"So what if I did?! Gotta problem with that?!"

She made a hesitating face before answering me with such high words. She really has the nerve to talk like that to me. She doesn’t even know who I am yet… Just you wait, girl…

"Now we can't get out! It's your fault! You should've stand at the door not stand further away from the door, aigoo..."

"You little...! URGHH!! I'm not the one to be blamed! How should I know that we’re gonna get stuck in here?!"

I breathed in and out slowly. This girl made me stuck in here with her and she really picked the bad time. I'm really not in the mood. I picked out my mobile phone and flipped it open. I dialled Yunho's number. Just when I heard the sound of my phone connecting to his phone, I heard a small sound like the one that comes from a broken TV and my phone was dead.

"Argh! Why now!?" I exclaimed and threw the phone on the floor causing it to break. I didn't pick it up and just stared at it. I was breathing hard, trying to control myself from going berserk. The girl was looking at me. She was absolutely speechless. I told you, I was in a bad mood. She was still staring at me. Finally I said,

"Yah, don't you have a phone? Can't you call your friend or whoever that can help?"

She shook her head and looked at her feet. I was pretty sure she was afraid. Maybe she was thinking of some stupid scene. There is so much that can happen. Huh, in her dreams! I don't even want to touch her. I'm just not in the mood and I'm not that type of a guy.

"My phone... I left it in the class," was the only sentence she said.

The room was getting colder and the heater was not on. I could even see my own breath coming out of my mouth. The girl walked to one corner of the room and sat down. She picked the corner which was the furthest from me. Great, at least she still knew how fear feels like. I saw her rubbing her hands to keep her body warm. It was nearly dark outside. How long do I have to stay here? I was getting starving by the minute. I didn’t know what to eat. My stomach started to grumble.

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 2 Part 2

~Kim Junsu~

The bell rang just as the whole class was about to drift far from learning. Let me describe it this way, my classmates were absolutely bored over the history class we had just before that particular bell. Our history teacher was Mr Bae Jul, and honestly, he’s really lousy at keeping his students entertained. I always get bullied by Changmin while in class and had our usual fights behind the teacher’s back. So, I wasn’t THAT boring in class. I disliked Changmin’s routine of bullying me but he keeps me entertained.

Now let’s get on with the story.

So, the bell rang. The whole class got up as fast as they can. Right after the history teacher got out of the class … FREEDOM!! I mean… the whole class stormed out to get to the cafeteria. That the whole class - including me and my friends. We raced to get our lunch in the cafeteria (except Jaejong, Yunho’s buying for him. I dunno why…).

“Yah, Changmin! You’re cheating! COME BACK HERE!!” I shouted at the cheating Changmin (It wasn’t even a contest). He was way ahead of me but I could see his sneaky grin. His grin was just too noticeable with that big mouth of his!

Yunho had increased his pace and got past me. He was nearly catching up with Changmin. Yoochun was still running beside me. I tried to run faster but I couldn’t. My energy tank was at its limit. At least Yoochun was still beside me. I still ran until I got to the cafeteria.

In the end, Yunho and Changmin got their food first since they got there earlier than me and, of course Yoochun. I, on the other hand, had to join the long line of students who were also there. Most of the students who were lining there were guys so I kinda understand why Yoochun made a boring face. Yunho and Changmin left us as soon as they got what they wanted. I was not happy. It was the third time I lose to Changmin. THIS IS FRUSTRATING! I have to start going to the gym more often.

As soon as I bought what I wanted to buy, I turned to walk to our usual spot. Yunho, Jaejong, Changmin, Yoochun and I usually had our meal at the school’s backyard, under the big tree. I walked fast. There were a few girls who gave me a small wave but I pretended they didn’t exist. I really don’t have the mood to play with girls right now. I was thinking about something when I responded out of reflex. Someone let out a short shout and I responded. How should I describe this?

Hmm... A girl, ok – a tomboyish girl, had slipped in front of me. I was right in front of her. Guess what happened next? Yes… I got her phone number (seriously…?). No, someone who fell can’t give me their phone number, right? I simply caught her before she fell on that slippery floor. Don’t get me wrong. We didn’t have those ‘I-fell-in-love’ or ‘I-feel-so-embarrassed’ look on each of our faces. It wasn’t even a ‘what-the-heck-?’ look or ‘W-H-A-T-??!’ look either. We were both speechless. Let’s just say, I didn’t feel a thing when I caught her (I think so) and I think she didn’t too because she didn’t look like she was feeling anything.

“Thanks. Now, can you let me go? I don’t think you want to hold me that long ‘coz your bread is on the ground,” she spoke after that long pause. I snapped out of my long silence and let her go after she made her move. She stood up silently and so did I. It was awkward. I spotted my bread, it was still in a good shape and looks like new, and snatched it. There was a crowd all around us. From the side she was standing was a group of boys and surely on my side were the girls. They were making all sorts of faces. What? It’s not like we fell on top of each other or anywhere near that. It wasn’t even dramatic, mind you!

I knew I should get going. I took a step away from my position and saw guys glaring at me as if they wanted to eat me in whole from the corner of my eye. But I ignored it and increased my pace and got to that usual spot where my friends hang out. Good thing all of them were there. Even Yoochun was there. Which means no one saw me in that incident? GREAT!

I joined them. Yoochun was telling a story about his first love back in middle school. I wonder how that topic came out. WHO CARES? My sudden appearance was at least welcomed. They told me to sit down as Yoochun continued with his story. Jaejong mood was probably better since he was sitting there with us, listening to Yoochun’s tale and laughing with us. I guess he had forgotten his problem.

“Aigoo.... what’s wrong with your sense of taste? A tomboyish type of girl is surely not a good choice...,” I complained. Yoochun gave me a ‘whatever’ look but I still disagreed. There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING attractive about a tomboyish type of girl. At least that was what I thought during that time.

“Why are we talking about girls anyway?” Changmin asked suddenly.

“I know you don’t like talking about them because you never had one. Right, our-innocent-boy-‘changminnie’...,” Jaejong teased. I laughed, serves him right!

“Don’t call me that! It sounds so... GIRL-ISH!” Changmin murmured. We kept on laughing at him. ‘Changminnie’ does sound like a girl. If it was my name, that would be completely embarrasing. But since its Changmin’s name, I wouldn’t mind laughing. Not even if I fell off a tree for laughing too hard. At that time, laughing at him was a pleasure.

Outing With Old Friends...

Ahh... I just came back from meeting 5 of my friends that I love so much!
Here's how today started...
At about 7.30 in the morning, I got ready for the arrival of one of my friend who said she wanted to stay at my home before heading out to meet the others. Well, she did say she was going to come at 7.30. It turns out that she came later than she said the night before. Don't worry, I'm not angry. Right after she arrived, we both went upstairs to my room.
"Hey, Yuki... can I watch some stories?" she asked.
"What stories?" I asked.
"Anything, don't you have loads of stories in your external hard disk?"
Okay, she is right. I do have LOADS of stories in my external hard disk. Just name it. Kdrama, Jdrama, Jmovie, English movies, Malay movies and 2 english dramas. She only had to choose what she wanted to watch. Eventually, she chose a brutally funny movie, Zombieland. I was supposed to help my mom (part-time job) but I watched a movie before that. The funny thing is that my mom didn't call for me until the end of the movie... (=_=)
At about 1.25, we got ready really fast coz I forgot to tell Tomato (my friend's nickname) when I should pick up my brother from school. We were supposed to pick him up, send the cakes and then meet up with the rest of the group. I took my chances and drove the car. Maybe because there was too many traffic lights that I became so nervous that my driving sucked. No, SERIOUSLY, the driving part sucked... When we arrived at my brother's school, he was nowhere to be seen. My driver went out to look for him but he couldn't find the boy. Gosh, he's hard to find. After more that 5 minutes of waiting, I finally made the decision to look for him myself. I went all the way with Tomato to look for him in his class but our journey was in vain. There was absolutely no sign of my brother in his class. Just imagine folks, I went up the stairs until the fourth floor just to find him and he wasn't there! Then, I went back to the car, still no sign of him. I went to the field, no little brother there too. I finally gave up looking for him. THAT was when I saw him in another block' carrying his big school bag. I AM GOING TO KILL THIS BOY...
At 2.30, Tomato and i finally reached the library just in front of a plaza that we wanted to hang out in. We performed our prayer and met Michiyo. FYI, Michiyo is my BFF. Then, we met Ri Yeon, Usagi and Pingu. As soon as we met, we wanted to eat first. Stomach grumbling... not good... And so, we ate Spaghetti and lasagna at Secret Recipe. Would you guys believe me if I said that was my first time there? I don't think so but it's the truth... The longest time was spent eating there. We were all chatting some random stuff, taking pictures and go crazy. It was nice seeing them back (Sorry, I don't post my real pictures and my friends pictures due to the rules I made which I MUST obey at all costs). After filling our tummy with delicious food that costs more that I ever payed myself (RM105), we were lost of places to go. It was either the Movies or the Bowling place. We ended up playing bowling since the the movie was too long to watch. We payed for two game. While playing the first game, everyone was excited. I was too. When we started the second game, we were exhausted and desperately needed to stop playing. Too much playing isn't good, that's the moral I learned. When we finished bowling, we did some quick shopping and hurried back home.
Well, our day out wasn't as happy happy joy joy as others would see it but this day meant a lot to me. You see, ever since Tomato and Pingu changed school, I wasn't able to meet them all the time. When they asked to meet me somewhere, there was always something that kept me from going to see them. I am really sorry for the past meetings that I couldn't go to. I REALLY AM! That is why I think this is my best outing ever! Thanks guys, you light up my day! I wish that we can always be friends forever....

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 2 Part 1

~Jung Yunho~

I had this funny feeling inside me ever since Jaejong left those two girls stranded after he called them. Although I know that Jaejong was just following what Yoochun told him to do, I still felt that weird feeling inside me. It wasn’t my fault but Jaejong is my friend since we were kids. I feel for him. It’s a guy’s thing. When I looked at one of the girls Jaejong left, I saw her anger burning inside her but I still managed to mask my uneasiness with a grin. From her face, I could clearly see that she was not happy to be called but then treated as if she never existed. That was the reason why I told that friend of her, who was searching for her and her friend, to tell her a simple sorry on Jaejong’s behalf.

I was already in class, paying full attention to the lesson now taking place in front of me. Jaejong was my partner and sat beside me. He doesn’t really care about what the teacher was teaching. He merely stared at the outside. It was still winter, and spring has a long way to come before winter ends. Jaejong always do this whenever he likes. He occasionally pays attention to the teacher. Even with this ridiculous habit of his, he is still good in his studies. But he wasn’t the best of all the students. There were still others who were better than him. He was just one of the best.

I noticed Changmin’s and Junsu’s small fight, over who’s using whoever’s rubber. Those two… they’re still acting immature. Yoochun, who was in front of Jaejong, was busy writing, what I think is a letter, and then folding the letter into a paper plane to pass it to someone. He would probably pass it to a girl, judging from Yoochun’s flirty characteristics. I could only smile in silence. Then I noticed that there were three vacant seats somewhere near Yoochun. One was beside Yoochun, and the other two was in front of the seat beside Yoochun. I wondered for a while about who the seats belongs to but then ignored it. I turned my attention back to the blackboard and took notes.

BANG! *Two girls burst into the class*

“Miss Sae Ri, we’re sorry that we’re late for class!” the two girls explained in unison. The whole shifted their attention towards them. Even the staring-outside-the-window Jaejong looked at them. I saw one of the girls face. Hey, I know that girl! It’s the one Jaejong left at the gym with her friend. Are they our classmates? I thought. (The school just started one week before and the 5 guys didn’t even notice who is in their class yet. The guys don’t know anyone in the school yet because they just moved to Seoul at the end of last year. They’re really slow, right?)

Miss Sae Ri turned from the blackboard to face the girls. The whole class was waiting with anticipation. We were waiting for Miss Sae Ri’s next move. What would she do to them? I could see some of the guys in class were in a praying stance. Some were biting their lips. There were others who looked like they were going to crush Miss Sae Ri, if she made the wrong move. What did the two girls mean to them?

“Please be seated, we’ll continue with our lesson,” was what she said with a bright smile. The two girls thanked them and hurried to their seats. Their seats were in front of that vacant seat beside Yoochun. Why didn’t I notice them before? The two girls took out their books and had a little chat with another two girls, each sat beside them. They were whispering to each other about something. One of them who looked almost tomboyish with her haircut said something like, she’ll come here. Who?

Just when the class was starting over after the scene caused by the two girls, we all heard a knock at the door. Who the heck is it now? This class had enough interruptions already!

Miss Sae Ri went to the door when she saw the principal standing there. She excused herself from class for a while since the principal wanted to talk to her. When she closed the class’s door, the class went wild with rumours spreading, students talking and the sound of students playing with their phones.

“Yah, Yunho. I heard that there’s a new girl coming to the class. I bet she’s cute,” Yoochun said when he turned to look at me.

“Don’t you have enough girls to play with, Yoochun?”

“Another one won’t hurt, right?”

Yoochun grinned. I shook my head. Jaejong was not interested with the conversation Yoochun started. He wasn’t interested with the girls.

“Yunho,” Junsu called. I turned to look at him who was sitting behind me.

“Weren’t those two girls the one that we met at the school hallway, just before we entered the class?” Junsu said as he pointed at one of the girls that had burst into the class before. I was about to nod when Miss Sae Ri entered the class and looked like she was about to make an announcement. The students all scrambled back to their seats.

“Sorry for the many interruptions today but now, we have a new transfer student. She’s from Tokyo, Japan,” Miss Sae Ri stated and made a gesture which means ‘come in’. A long, haired girl with curls hanging at the end of each strand of her hair entered the class. The girl bowed before the whole class. She had a gentle smile on her face.

“This is Shimizu Asuka,” Miss Sae Ri introduced, “please treat her well and help her if she needs help while fitting in,” she continued.

The whole class was whispering. Yoochun turned to look at me and gave me the ‘I was right’ look. I gave him a weak smile and looked at the new girl. Then I noticed. She’s the other girl that Jaejong left with the angry girl at the gym this morning. How come that all those girls that we met this morning came from our own class?!

~Park Tae Rin~

“Aigoo… where is this Seung Mi? Isn’t she supposed to be in class by now?” I blabbered. I was rather worried about Seung Mi. Is she lost? Can’t be… She’s in her own school! I was uneasy. Ri Yeon didn’t look like she was worried. Neither does Sung Young. They were both cool.

“You worry too much,” Sung Young simply said. Ri Yeon agreed with her statement.

“Relax! Seung Mi has been in this school since last year. I’m sure she’s fine and is already on her way back here. If you’re worried, you should’ve worry about Asuka. She’s still new to this school,” Ri Yeon voiced. They had their point. Why should I worry about Seung Mi. But deep inside I felt like something was about to happen. SOMETHING BIG. I felt like I had a sixth sense. That was the whole reason I was worried about Seung Mi. The thing is, I didn’t know if this ‘something big’ was a good thing or a bad thing. Call me crazy but I was sure of my instincts.

“I wanna go search for Seung Mi,” I said and got out of my seat. As I ran out of the class, I heard Sung Young called me from behind.

“YAH! TAE RIN! THE BELL’S JUST RANG! WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN CLASS!”

I ignored her and went to the hall where we all split up. I took the route that Seung Mi and Asuka took a while ago.

“She’s supposed to be here by now…” I whispered. Then, I heard heavy footsteps coming towards me. Suddenly I felt a hard push on my left shoulder. Someone walked pass me and PURPOSELY pushed my shoulder! I was rather disturbed and turned around to look at the person who’s supposed to be guilty. I saw his back as he walked away from me. I swear that I had a slight feeling of giving him a quick ‘flying kick’ to pay for his push. He seriously didn’t feel any regret. Didn’t his parents teach him manners? At least apologise, jerk!

I gave his back a ‘raspberry blow’ and turned around to search for Seung Mi again. For the second time, I heard heavy footsteps, but this time it sounded like multiple peoples coming at my direction. I waited at my position, standing so still that I was almost like a living statue. A group of four guys walked pass me. They were all laughing and chatting to each other. Where did they come from? I bit my lip. One of them noticed me standing there.

“Are you looking for two girls? One tall and the other kinda short than the other one?” he asked. One of the guys gave him a rather hard push.

“What are you talking about, hyung? That other girl IS shorter than the other,” a guy who was taller than the guy who asked me said. I was in the middle of four guys. I felt small but I nodded anyway. Finding friends comes first!

“They’re inside the gym just now. But I guess they had gone by now. They’re really cute,” the guy with messy hair said to me with a sort of flirty smile. I won’t fall for that!

“Why don’t you look for them there right now? Maybe they’re still there,” the shortest guy there said to me. I said my thanks to them and they walked away from me. I was about to go to the gym but the guy that noticed me earlier stopped me before I even moved.

“If you find the two girls, please tell them I’m sorry. On behalf of my friend,” he whispered and quickly walked away to join his group. I was bewildered. Whatever, I gotta find Seung Mi…

I searched the whole gym for Seung Mi but I didn’t see her at all. Ten minutes had gone by. I thought of class and then of the first period teacher. I would probably get scolded for being late. Wait! I’m not supposed to get scolded. My father gave this school a sum of money that helped them recover from their financial crisis! (FYI, eventually all the five girl’s parents are REALLY rich. But the five girls live like normal rich girls but at the same time have a commoner’s attitude. This story is getting weirder…) I gave up looking for Seung Mi and made a conclusion that Seung Mi probably had reached the class by now. I stepped out of the gym’s door and suddenly was face to face with Seung Mi!

“SEUNG MI! Where were you?”

“I had just sent Asuka to the principal’s office. Now I’m late!”

“Correction, let me rephrase your sentence. WE’RE LATE!”

*Sorry I didn't post yesterday... I was too absorbed in watching a kdrama that I totally forgot about this.. haha... silly me...*

Girls Over Chocolates: Chapter 1 Part 4

~Shin Seung Mi~

We, finally, passed all the boys and were at the one of the school’s hallway. We all had agreed at breakfast, before the rushing into the car incident, that I will take Asuka to the office so that she can report her presence. She could just make the headmaster come take her to wherever she wants but she prefers to find the office herself. Since she doesn’t know the school yet, I was appointed by our group to take her to the office before I go to class. Now I have to do two works, walking to the office with Asuka and walking back to my class. GREAT!

I walked quietly beside Asuka as I lead her to the office. We both walked pass the door to the school’s gym. There, we both heard voices of girls cheering for something and the sound of people running around the gym. Asuka asked me to stop. Clearly she was curious by the commotion.

“Seung Mi, why are there so many girls here? And what’s the ruckus?” Asuka asked, inquisitive. I grinned at my spontaneous idea and grabbed her wrist.

“Wha~…” she was about to say something but I pulled her into the group of girl screaming madly. We pushed our way in to see what was happening in the gym. I knew the answers but I wanted Asuka to see for herself who was playing in the gym and the reason why the girls were screaming madly. When we were finally at the front row, Asuka panted as she struggled to keep on standing. I was sure she was not used to pushing crowds of people to get to the front row. I heard her murmur a few Japanese words and breathed in and out. I had to call for her in a rather loud voice to make her hear what I was going to say.

“THIS is the reason why all those girls were screaming,” I said. Asuka turned to look at the middle part of the gym. Boys were running around the gym, playing basketball. The girls were screaming when one of the guys playing managed to throw the ball into the bucket.

“So what? I don’t think THIS is anything to be excited about?” Asuka said calmly. I slapped my head. This girl really didn’t get the point! I shook my head lightly. Be calm Seung Mi.

“Asuka, don’t you get it? They are head over heels for those five guys!” I explained. Asuka raised one of her eyebrows and nodded. The bell suddenly rang and all the girls that were screaming like crazy before quickly rushed to their classes. Before Asuka and I realised it, they were gone like the wind. There was only the two of us and all the guys who were playing basketball there. The boys had stopped playing and were getting ready to get into their respective classes.

“Maybe now is the right time to take you to the office,” I whispered to Asuka and we both turned to get to the door.

“YAH! YOU TWO GIRLS!”

Asuka and I stopped. We were sure that one of the guys had called us.

“Yes, the two of you! Turn around, will ya?” the voiced called again. I turned to look around to see any more girls standing at the gym or somewhere near it but I was in vain. The only girls there were Asuka and me.

“Stop looking around and turn around!” he called again. I was now sure that he was referring to me. What is it that the crazy b*****d wants from two innocent girls like me and Asuka? A lot of questions were playing in my small mind and I was going crazy just thinking of it. Since we both had no other choices, we turned around. The one who called was a guy with a rather long face. He had his hair cut so that his face looked a bit rounder. Aigoo… what does this guy want?!

“Hey, they’re cute. Right, Jae?” a guy with messy hair said. His hair was longer than all the other guys there. The guy he called Jae ignored his question and intended to leave the gym. I was sure that he was the one who called us. He called us and now he’s walking away? What does this guy thinks, he can call us and leave us just like that? I can’t let it go just like that. My heart was burning. I wanted to call out to that guy and give him a piece of my mind. Good thing that I knew how to control my actions or he’s dead meat! I turned to look at the other guys there. There were only four guys left at the gym. One was really tall. The other one seating next to the tall guy was grinning at the one called Jae who nearly left the gym. There was a short guy, well shorter than the rest of the guys there who was bothering the tall guy with the messy haired guy staring at us beside him.

Asuka pulled me out of the gym. Well, it was more of a drag because I was really ticked off by the Jae guy’s actions and I refused to move.

“Seung Mi! Aishh… we’re late! I’m late to go to the office and you’re late to go to your class!” Asuka shouted at my ear. I knew that we were late but I was really pissed off. I was still angry, though I think its better that I should take Asuka to the office first. I stomped to the office and Asuka was making a fuss about how childish my actions were. I ignored her throughout the walk. As we drew nearer to the office, I stopped stomping and walked normally. When we were at the principal’s door, Asuka turned to look at me.

“I know that you’re angry but cool down and get to class as soon as possible. Forget about that stupid guy and focus at class. Promise me you’ll do as I say?”

I took a deep breath and nodded in agreement. I knew that thinking about that guy was not worth my time. I decided to get back to class and pretended that that situation never happened for the time being. Asuka smiled and entered the principal’s rom as soon as I nodded and I rushed to class.

~Kim Sung Young~

“Aigoooo.....!!!!! This clock is really pissing me off!” I whispered, angry at my ringing alarm clock. Even though I knew that the clock is used and a necessary item to get me up on time for school, I can’t help to feel irritated just at the sound of its continuous ringing. I sat up grumpily. The alarm clock was placed at the other end of the room. So, I had to walk to the other side in order to make the ringing stop. As soon as the ringing sound was distinguished, I didn’t feel like sleeping anymore. At least the clock had its use. Otherwise, it would’ve ended in the dustbin, all smashed and out of shape. I simply dragged my sluggish feet to the cupboard. I grabbed the school uniform that I placed in front of all the other shirts I had in my closet and entered my personal bathroom. After I finished a whole half an hour in the bathroom, had put on my school uniform, and checked my appearance in front of the mirror, I picked up my bag and got out of my room.

I met Asuka who had also just finished with her ‘business’ after waking up and got ready for her first day in our school; Asuka’s new school!

“Yah, Asuka! You’re late on your first day, huh?” I teased. I totally forgot that I am also late. She smirked.

“Only on the first day... My excuse will be that I slept late last night. We had our time together. You, on the other hand, are ALWAYS late. Need I remind you that?” she shot back. I could only grin. She had her point. She gave a STRONG point that trampled over mine. Suddenly her expression changed.

“Oh, I’m SORRY! I didn’t mean to be sarcastic! I really don’t. But I am always like this. Even my parents say so! I really gotta change my attitude,” she apologised. Her words were offending but I don’t think I mind. She was like that ever since she was small and I had known her for a long time already. These small criticisms won’t offend me.

I laughed. There was confusion written on her face. I laughed again. Now, her expression was puzzled. I continued to laugh until finally...

“Yah! Both of you at the stairs! Come down and eat NOW! Or we’ll all be late!” Tae Rin yelled from the bottom of the stairs. The two of us smiled at each other and race down the stairs. When we entered the dining room, we both saw Tae Rin, Seung Mi and Ri Yeon already eating their breakfast at the table. Two maids took our bags from our arms and led us to our seats. I sat on Tae Rin’s right and Asuka sat on the left. The maids placed our foods on our plates and we began to eat.

The clock was already 7.30 when we rushed into the limo that was supposed to take us to school every day. Tae Rin was blabbering all the way to school. She was rather angry with our (me & Asuka’s) lateness. We both just grinned at her. We knew we were late. But hey! Look at the bright side. We are not THAT late. This is early! School won’t start until 8 o’clock in the morning. By the way, the house is not that far from school. It’s just a few blocks away. Tae Rin worried too much. She always overreacts, but that’s what made her the leader of the group. My grin was wider at the thought of Tea Rin’s leadership. Asuka gave me a small push. I looked at her. She tossed me a what-are-you-grinning-widely-about look. I gave her the I’m-not-guilty look and didn’t answer her. She ignored me and then we arrived at school. Tae Rin, Seung Mi, Ri Yeon and I got out first, Asuka followed behind us. As usual, there were a group of boys (a BIG group!) were waiting at both sides. They were probably waiting for someone important. Hey! They do this every day! What is wrong with their heads? (P/s: for the reader’s information, Sung Young doesn’t realise her group’s popularity in school. Thus, she didn’t know that the group of boys were actually waiting for her and her group to arrive).

As we passed in front of the group of boys, I can’t help noticing all their different actions. There were a few of them who looked like they were almost drooling. Eww, gross! The other few had a dreamy face as they watched us pass in front of them. Some of them were gaping at the sight of us, well maybe at us. I didn’t dare to look at them anymore. That was the first time I noticed their expression. I wondered if they had been doing this ever since we came here. Maybe... I gasped at my own thoughts. Then I pulled Tae Rin’s shirt so that I could ask her if my thoughts was true or not.

“Tae Rin, are all these boys OUR admirers?” I whispered.

“Yeah, why did you ask? You just noticed that? They ARE our admirers. It’s a fact that everyone in this school knew, except you that is,” she said. I was about to gape at the answer but Asuka approached us; we were walking really slowly but in front of her.

“Hey, I want to ask, why are there so many boys looking at us with those stupid looks? The funny thing is the ridiculous amount of them. Can the two of you give me answers?” she asked boldly but she answered it herself.

“Are they all YOUR admirers?” she asked in a low voice. Tae Rin simply nodded at her question and said, “Looks like you’re getting your own admirers like the rest of us…” Asuka put on the look that means ‘what-are-you-talking-about?’ and Tae Rin made a move with her head that made me and Asuka look at the left side of the two of us. There were a group of boys who were waving at Asuka. Some were even smiling oddly and some were giving her flying kisses which, I knew, made Asuka sick from the sudden change in her expression. She looks like she was going to puke at that instant.

~Han Ri Yeon~

I had my black coat on over my good t-shirt. Then, I couldn’t find my boots. I always misplaced my things. Aigoo!! Why am I always like this? I trashed the whole cupboard just to look for it. I gave up looking for it and landed hard on my soft bed. I sighed and looked at the ceiling, totally forgetting the plan me and the girls discussed before. Suddenly, I heard a loud knock at my room’s door with a loud shout that follows.

“YAH! HAN RI YEON!”

I turned around on my bed sluggishly and shouted, “COME IN! THE DOOR’S NOT LOCKED!” There was a quick sound of the door’s knob being turned and Seung Mi’s face came to view.

“Everyone’s ready! Why are you here on your bed? Come on! Get up!” she blabbered as she pulled my hand to help me up. I sat up lazily.

“Why are you like this? What happened to your cupboard? Don’t tell me, you trashed it,” she continued nagging. I wondered if I was that late. I must be ‘cause she won’t get so worked up if I didn’t.

“Okay, Shin Seung Mi... You’re starting to sound like my second mom. Now help me find what I want,” I cut her long nagging. She placed her two hands at her hips and simply said, “What’s that you’re looking for?”

“My boots.”

“What’s that behind the curtains? Isn’t that the boots you’re looking for?”

And she was right. There the boots were. I went through all those troubles and trashed my cupboard to find you there! This is ridiculous! I quickly grabbed the boots and then Seung Mi’s hand.

“Okay, you’re right! My bad, now let’s go!” I said as I dragged her downstairs. She was right. They were all ready to get out. I was the one who’s late. I saw Sung Young’s mouth opening and I quickly said, “My bad, SORRY!”

“And I thought tomboy’s are like boys. But then again, you’re late like a girl while dressing up,” Tae Rin teased. I knew better than to argue. Tae Rin is not the one to pick fights with. She’s nasty when she’s angry.

Sung Young already had the keys. Seung Mi rushed us all into the car. Tae Rin, Seung Mi and I took the seat at the back while Asuka took the seat beside Sung Young, the driver. Usually, Tae Rin would take the front seat but today she gave the seat to Asuka. At least she’s being considerate. Asuka is the one we’re celebrating tonight.

“Are you all sure we’re getting Korean food tonight? No change in taste? Maybe we should get western food? No?” Sung Young asked. She was trying to get our final answer before she drives. She doesn’t want to change direction at the last minute. No one said a word. Then she turned around and opened the head covers. The car we’re on is one of those famous and expensive sports cars in the world. Not that I want to brag but this car can open the head cover. Cool right?

Back to the story, Sung Young drove us to the best Korean food restaurant in the Gangnam-gu district. All the way there, Seung Mi and I were having our usual poking fights which involved Asuka too. Tae Rin was busy looking at her mirror and the scenery around us. She didn’t talk much. Sung Young was constantly laughing at the three of us, poking each other until we were all laughing. Seung Mi wanted everyone to laugh so she poked Tae Rin until she was laughing so hard. It was a great ride for all of us. Secretly, I saw Seung Mi taking pictures of us having a good time.

“We’re there!” Sung Young exclaimed as she stopped at the front entrance of the restaurant. We all got down from the car and Sung Young gave the car keys to a boy who was in charge of the cars there. He was supposed to take care of the cars while the owner ate at the restaurant.

We had a delicious dinner, all paid by Asuka. Well, she is the daughter of a great doctor who had opened hospitals at almost all districts in Korea and Japan. Not to mention, she’s the richest among all five of us. Then we headed to the park where our group usually hang out; even during Asuka’s long absence, and had a long chat before heading home to sleep. That day was one of my most occupied days but the only one that I like best! The reason is – we were all there for each other.

~Shimizu Asuka~

I took out my handphone out of my jeans pocket as I entered the black car in front of me. As soon as I made myself comfortable, I dialled one of my friend’s phone numbers. The car was already moving, leaving my family’s private jet behind. As I waited for this friend of mine to pick up, I heard a series of different Korean pop songs, all cut short, before she finally answered the phone.

“ASUKA!!” she exclaimed excitedly from the other end of the line. I covered my ears to protect them from instant ear deafening.

“Hyung-ah, can you NOT shout at the other end of the line? I’m not DEAF!” I finally answered, irritated.

“Whoa... I see you’re still the same as before... even after those long years,” she commented. I rolled my eyes. Gosh! This girl is still like her old self!

“So, is everyone home?” I bluntly asked. That was the real reason why I called. I wanted to see my girls in Korea. I had lived here for a short while before.

“Yeah... they’re at the living room waiting for you,” she answered, “ they even got a drama played to fill the time until you get here! Don’t you think they’re too girlish?” she continued. I chuckled. Oh, COME ON! As if YOU’RE not a girl yourself.

“What’s so funny?”

“Nothing… Tell the girls, I’ll be there at 6.30.”

“Great! We’ll be here waiting...”

“Just join them! I know you wanted to watch the drama with them. See ya!”

I ended the call and kept my phone back in my pocket. I can’t wait to see my old friends. What would their face look like? Are they still the same old friends I had before? I was eager to find out. I checked the time. It was already 6.25 pm. Aish... another 5 minutes till my expected arrival time. At least I can see them. I’m nervous.

The car passed the Seoul’s Grand Park. I knew the house I’m supposed to live in was just a few blocks away. The outlook changed a lot since I last came here. There were more buildings built around the area. Seoul’s changing fast. Well, that’s normal for the world’s second largest metropolitan area. The city’s getting busier every day. I’m impressed. Then the car turned left and entered the outskirts of a big bungalow. I picked up my bag pack and waited for the driver to open the door for me. When he did, I stepped out of the car and looked at the big house. This is where I’ll be living now. Bye-bye Tokyo, hello Seoul!

When I turned to look at the entrance door, I saw four girls standing there with smiles plastered on each of their faces. I smiled back and took my steps towards them.

They were all really different in appearance that I couldn’t recognise them except Ri Yeon-hyung. She was still boyish look alike no matter at what angle you look at her. She had her hair short, the way most boyish girls have, with bangs. I noticed that her bangs were longer than her back hair. You’re still girlish huh, hyung. She had a black t-shirt on with dark brown khaki to match. It’s our hyung’s typical boyish style.

“Yah, Asuka! Still remember us?” exclaimed one of the girls. She had stylishly short, straight black hair and a mature looking face. I was sure she is our group’s leader, Park Tae Rin. She was always the mature looking type in our group. At least that was what the description I had from my personal helper back in Tokyo. Tae Rin was dressed in a green outfit, probably her favourite, with stripped leggings.

“Park Tae Rin,” I answered, confidently. Tae Rin grinned and nodded. Lucky I was correct. The girls quickly dragged me into the living room out of bursting excitement. I was just glad I didn’t scream throughout their sudden plans of dragging me inside. They were curious to know what I had been doing all the years we were all apart. They wanted to know how Tokyo life was, though they wanted me to guess which is which among the girls there.

Of course I started with hyung, Han Ri Yeon. I had guessed her even before I was asked to do so. Next, I guessed the not-so-innocent Kim Sung Young. She was still so innocent looking but her attitude was not. She had big eyes, at least bigger than a typical Korean’s with thin pink lips to fit her face. She was like an angel. Not to mention a total genius. She had her hair at the length of her shoulder with bangs covering her forehead. She smiled widely when I got my guess right.

Then, I turned to the last person in the room, Shin Seung Mi. Seung Mi was our petit, cute-looking princess but never judge her by her looks. She is very good with graphics designing and has a very sensitive heart. She can be sarcastic at times and very caring towards her friends at the same time. She’s the petit one because her best friend, Ri Yeon hyung, is the most petit but hates the name. Petit princess is not so petit anymore. She’s taller based on my judgement on that day. Anyway, she had her hair straightened now. Cute! I thought. Her hairstyle, that is layered, fitted her petit image perfectly.

“You could still recognise us! Wow!” Seung Mi exclaimed. She was pretty amazed at my ability. (Seung Mi was just complementing me so that I feel welcomed. She’s really nice, right?)

“You guys don’t change that much...,” I answered, “ Hey, since I just got here, how about showing me around the neighbourhood tonight. We can have dinner out,” I continued. All the girls were thinking.

“Come on, let’s give Asuka her welcome party outside!” Tae Rin agreed. I can see her eyes shining. I knew she was already in her party mode.

“Okay, although we still have school tomorrow...,” Seung Mi hesitated. Ri Yeon hyung gave her a soft push. Seung Mi shot her a ‘What!’ look. I grinned at their childish acts.

“Who cares about school? Let’s celebrate Asuka’s comeback!” Ri Yeon hyung exclaimed. Soon we were all discussing about where we should go to. We all agreed to go for karaoke after our dinner, Korean cuisine.

After the discussion, we went upstairs and they showed me my room. It was right beside Sung Young’s room and opposite to hyung’s room. They had the room decorated with my favourite colour – blue and purple. They still remembered. I found my suitcases beside the king sized bed with blue polka dotted bed spread. Then, I opened my suitcase to search for the right clothes to wear.

Girls Over Chocolates; Prologue

In one of the hallways in a school somewhere in Seoul, Korea, a girl with shoulder length, straight black hair wearing a taupe coat was walking towards a door situated at the end of the hallway. The hallway’s walls were fully made out of glass with iron as a medium to support the glass. The glass walls showed the scenery outside. Because it was nearly the end of winter, there was still snow covering the ground which looked like a big perfectly white carpet on the supposed-to-be-green ground.

As the girl walked, she saw the scenery outside which made memories of her past came rushing to her mind. She remembered the time during her studies in the very school, all the time she spent with her friends there and many other ‘painful and lovely’ recollections. A small smile formed on her light pink, thin lips. She stopped walking for a while to admire the beautiful scenery. She laid her hand on the transparent glass as if she was able to touch the snow outside. Due to the cold condition in and out of the school, her breathe can be seen in puffs of white smoke.

Turning her sight away from the glass wall, she continued to head for the room in front of her. That room was the sole reason why she was there in the first place. As soon as she touched the room’s doorknob, she felt a sudden warmness inside her body. Weird, she thought, however she continued to turn the doorknob and slowly advanced into the room.

The first thing that caught her sight was three rows of chairs arranged in a wave pattern in the medium sized room. There were five luxurious armchairs placed on one corner and a grand black piano was placed on the other side. The girl scanned the room as she took a few steps towards the piano. Nothing has changed... the positions of the chairs and the piano were still the same. When she reached the piano, she opened the cover. The piano keys were dusty. Again, she smiled. The piano reminded her of someone. She wanted to touch the piano’s keys but a sudden urge inside her made her look out of the small window inside the room. It was snowing again.

As soon as the deafening sound made by the landing plane stops, there was an announcement made to inform the passengers of their arrival.

“We have arrived at Seoul...” were the only words that she heard. She quickly closed her purple laptop on her lap and slipped it in its bag. Then she started packing a few of her things just as all the other passengers were doing. As she packed, she kept tossing her long, almost curly, brown hair back to avoid it getting in her way while packing. Her bangs kept on covering her sight but she simply pulled it behind her ears. When she finally finished, passengers of the plane were already waiting for their turn to get off the plane. She stood up, holding all of her stuffs and gave her seat one last look. One of the stewardesses came towards her and took her stuffs from her. The girl then followed the stewardess as she led her to another door for VIPs.

The stewardess led her towards a door where two men in full black uniforms were waiting. She was already inside the airport building. The stewardess passed the girl’s possessions to one of the men. She bowed a little towards the girl and made her way back to the plane. The girl smiled as the stewardess left. Then, she had to follow the two men who led her to her limousine. The driver opened the door for her and she stepped in.

As soon as the driver started the engine, they were already on the road, on their way to the girl’s second house. She looked out of the car. Seoul, she thought. The very country’s name gave her vivid reminiscences of her school time, her youth. She placed her right hand on one of her rosy cheek. Then, her light red lips curved into a simple smile. She remembered something very precious to her in Seoul. She lowered the car’s window shield to feel the air. As she lowered it, snow started to fall.

Another girl was sitting under a shady tree at a hidden patch somewhere in a very popular park. While everyone else were happily playing sledges and snowball fights, exercising or even hanging out with friends, the girl was satisfied being alone at the patch. Although the patch was covered with cold snow, she enjoyed the thought of being at her most cherished spot in the world and hoped she could stay there forever with the presence of a certain someone. Resting her back on the tree’s bark, she looked up at the blue sky. She smiled, satisfaction clearly written on her face as she took out a silver necklace with two stars hanging as its locket from her jean’s pocket.

“He knew that I don’t wear things like these. And yet, this was what he got for me...” the girl complained happily. Grinning widely, she put the necklace on her own neck. She was still holding the locket. Happy thoughts bloomed like flowers in spring inside of her. She couldn’t help to release all the feelings she had inside her.

“It would’ve looked much better at night,” she whispered, amused at her own imagination. Suddenly, an apple fell and hit her on her head. She sat up as a reflex movement and without thinking first, she shouted, “YAH! KI....”

She was about to say a person’s name when she realized that no one threw the apple at her. The apple fell on top of her head from the tree. She picked up the apple that was not far from her and scanned it. It was just like the old times. Only the apple that hit my head at that time was thrown by someone, she thought. She took a deep breath and looked at the sky. Then, she laughed to her hearts content at her own “foolishness”. As she laughed, the snow started to fall.

A girl took a step out of the entrance to one of Seoul’s most popular shopping mall, the Lotte World. Her hands were both filled with shopping bags. She beamed as she breathed the outside air.

“Excuse me, help me with these bags. They’re ‘quite’ too much for me to hold on to,” She politely asked the two men in white. The two men took all the bags from her hands. She called for another two salesgirls; both were holding ‘a handful’ of bags and boxes, to place the goods inside the car which was situated just outside the mall. When they had finished placing all the bags, the girl opened her silver purse and gave the salesgirls their tips. The salesgirls accepted the tip they got, bowed and left.

“We should be heading back now,” the girl’s driver said. He was smart looking and looked like he’s in his early 40s. She nodded, and the man opened the door of her limousine for her to get on. She hastily went in. Then she looked at her black watch. It’s almost 6 o’clock, she thought. The date… 5^th of December…

The driver was about to close the door when the girl suddenly darted out of the car. She was weirdly over-energetic.

“Aigoo…I’m sorry! I really am sorry! I still want to go somewhere ahjusshi… Ah, don’t worry; I plan to go there by foot. I promise I’ll call when I want to go back!” she said and then turned and run. She was already a few metres from the vehicle when she stopped abruptly.

“Owh… ah… ahjusshi, please make sure the two men in white won’t follow me, ‘kay!” She exclaimed. Then she turned and ran again. The driver simply bowed and did exactly as what he was told.

Just wait… I’ll be there soon…, the girl thought as she increased her pace. She wanted to get there so badly. The thought of the precious place kept on rewinding inside her head. She felt a light feeling that could keep her running until she reach the place. Happiness suddenly filled her every vein as if the cold weather was not a big deal. The happiness kept her warm inside out. The image of that special someone kept on flashing in front of her eyes. She kept on running, dodging every single obstacle in her way. As she ran, the snow fell.

Inside a café which sells only chocolate products, another girl sat at a table for two near a window. She was staring blankly at her opened yellow laptop as her fingers swiftly typed a few things and clicking at the mouse. Beside her ‘free moving’ hand was a mug of an exclusive hot chocolate drink that was served only at that café. Near the mug was a slice of a half-eaten chocolate cake. The girl straightened her skirt without taking her eyes away from the laptop’s screen. She was surfing one of her usual favourite website – soompi.com. She came across a very interesting fanfic at the ‘fanfix’ forum and decided to read it. It wouldn’t hurt since she got nothing better to do. It was her first free day after graduating.

As the girl read the story, customers came in and out of the café. Some sat down to have a simple snack, chat with some friends while some came for a special treat. Although the people all around her were moving, chatting with friends, laughing at the phone with a family member, eating, finishing works, and in a rush to go somewhere, the girl ignored them. She was in her own world, created by the fanfic she was reading at that time. She was already buried in the story. She could imagine all the characters and the scenes playing in front of her eyes. She stared at the big screen of her laptop reading the ‘so-interesting’ story and ignoring her surroundings. Her two ears were plugged with a pair of earphones which was playing her favourite song. If she was sitting at home, she would have done a little sing-a-long to avoid boredom.

“Excuse me, Miss. Do you want some more of our special hot chocolate?” one of the waitresses at the café asked her. The girl turned to look at her empty mug. She did not realised that she had finished the whole thing as she was busy reading her story.

“Yes, please,” she answered. The waitress smiled and asked her to wait for a while and took the girl’s mug. Then, the waitress headed towards the kitchen to get her more hot chocolate. The girl continued to read the story. She was already at the climax when she saw someone placed something at her table from the corner of her eye. She turned to look at the person. It was one of the workers at the café, a waiter, who placed her mug beside her. The waiter was there to send her the mug, now filled with more hot chocolate. The girl was curious why a guy sent her the mug but not the same waitress. That was when she realised that the café was filled with people. She turned to look at the waiter before he left, smiled and thanked him. She noticed that the waiter beamed and showed a sign of happiness behind her. That must be a new worker, she thought. He’s young, probably the same age as me. He’s part time worker… maybe. A cheeky smile formed on her petit face. That waiter acts just like him… always beaming but at the same time cute.

She intended to continue reading the fanfic but instead turned to look out of the window. She saw snow falling from the cloudy sky. Tiny snows fell from bushy clouds outside and covered the scenery outside.

*This is the prologue for the fanfic I wrote for my school friends. It is still not completed yet. I'm a very inconsistent type of a person. Just to tell you guys in advance.... Up till today, I'm still working on the 3rd chapter. I'm sorry that I'm such a lazy bum... (T_T)*

Change of heart : Cartoon to Anime to Drama

Today, I'm going to write about my life as a kid and as a teenager. Or more precise, my change of heart. Yes dear, a change of heart.

When I was a child, cartoons appealed to me more than all those boring dramas they usually showed on television. Not that I care about all those grown up stories but I sometimes watch them. One of my favorite cartoon was Cinderella. I liked the cat, Lucifer and those talking mice ( CUTE!!). As I grew up, I discovered a new world. The world of animes... Yup, animes. I thought anime were like all those cartoons I watched when I was younger. But NO! It was a lot more grown up. Most of the stories involves critical thinking ( I mean, not easy to understand), not innocent plots, and many more grown up things... Well, of course at that time I was still ignorant and too little to know about these things. I started getting to know anime when I was about 10 years old. I watched Cardcaptor Sakura. That is my favorite anime up till now! I have been following all the anime on TV and started getting addicted to it when my older brother brought home some DVDs. Later, I learned to download the stories for free from online sites. Little by little, anime filled my life and gave it wonderful colors. Imagine life without anime! I even draw better. My drawing turned out pretty nice and I used up my free time just to draw or watch new anime. I never bothered about my bad test marks and school can go to hell. That was what I thought at that time. That was my life up to when I was 14.

When I was 15, I started changing. I don't know why, but my interest in anime reduced and my life was not revolving around anime any more. I guess I started to turn away from anime because I didn't like the bad influence my friends were getting and I gradually started to stay away from it. That was the year when I knew more about ecchi, hentai, yaoi, and yuri. My older sister hated the fact that those are part of anime. I, maybe, got influenced by her, bit by bit. That was also the year where I was supposed to sit for my PMR. It was a difficult year for me. I have bad grades. Settling in the second best class in school. My mum nagging at me everytime I had bad grades. My school days were becoming worse since I was the class rep. I kept on crying the whole year. I was so stressed up and often gave my best friend a cold shoulder. I became a bad friend. Always showing a sour face whenever I feel like it. I was hated ( I think so) by one of my friends in my group. I was pretty uncomfortable with all the anime things. I wanted to excel in my studies so much that I finally left anime. My hard work payed off at the end of the year. I got straight a's for PMR. What a relieve! By that time, anime was bye-bye...

The next year ( I was 16), I started to get to know kpop. Yes, I knew about kpop for a long time but never really indulged in them. I do watch some interesting korean dramas on TV but was not head over heels for the dramas that I watched. I became more interested with korean dramas and japanese dramas. My older brother also influenced me to watch more korean and japanese dramas. He is my biggest influence. Second biggest (only apply for korean drama and kpop) is my friend, Amal Aqilah. I was addicted and kept on buying DVDs, and even downloaded many dramas. Not to mention watching then on streaming sites. By then, I was a teenager who already knew how to balance my time to study and free time. Watching korean or japanese dramas are just a hobby and will always stay as a hobby. No more and no less.

Now, I am still into korean and japanese dramas but I still watch a few animes. The korean drama fever I had when I was 16 was going down to the normal temperature. I had to think about my life after this and no time to play around like I used to. Since I'm growing up, I had to study study and study all the time. I mean seriously, NO ONE can STUDY all the time. I take frequent breaks (VERY FREQUENT) and watch dramas in my laptop. That is how I live my life now.

Congratulations to all my friends... =D

Since I only posted one post since I made this blog, I figured that I should post something now.

Obviously, the previous day is the 23rd Mrch 2011, the day where most people wished would never come. I was also one of those people, wishing that the day will never come and time would stop. But who am I to prevent the worst from happening. I admit, I was jealous of all my good friends who got straight A's. Even those who didn't get straight A but got more that 2A+, I was jealous of them. Astarghfirullah... I am wrong... Those feelings are wrong... but what can I do,I am a mere human. Jealousy is a part of me. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for them. Overjoyed in fact... Congratulations to all 2010 SPM students.

Now, the happy part that also happened yesterday,
1. I discovered that I wore the exact same baju kurung that my sister wore on the day that she retrieve her SPM result last year. Not just that, my mom also had the same baju kurung that she wore on my sisters result day yesterday. WEIRD! Seriously, to those who had the school magazine you guys can check the page where they show the SPM memories. You'll see my sister in that exact baju kurung with my mom. LOL...
2. I didn't cry the whole day! Yippie for me!!
3. I watched Tron Legacy with my sister right after I got home from school...

I know what you guys are thinking... I am weird, I know that. But I think that I survived through all this because Allah wills it. I am glad that He helped me go through that day with courage and patience. Allahuakbar!

Actually, I made this blog for fun. I planned to post my stories here but the stories are still not quite perfect in my opinion. I need to write it better. But don't worry.
